Council Grove continued its historic start Friday night, knocking off No. 2-ranked Inman 36-21 on the road to improve to 7-0 for the first time since 2006.
The Braves, ranked No. 2 in Class 2A, built an early lead against the No. 2 team in Class 1A, then answered when Inman threatened to rally in the second half. Luke Stewart accounted for four touchdowns, throwing for two scores and running for two more, as Council Grove secured its third victory over a top-five opponent this season.
