A 48-year-old Manhattan man was arrested Thursday on 20 allegations related to offender registration violations and perjury.
Derrick Lee Milazzo was arrested at about 3:22 p.m. in the 1000 block of Kearney Street on 11 counts of violating the offender registration act, six counts of perjury and three counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act.
Riley County Police said the case was originally reported Sept. 28 at the Riley County Law Enforcement Center.
According to offender registration information, Milazzo was convicted in March 2005 in Jackson County, Oregon, of second-degree rape, a felony. The offense was listed as occurring in January 2000 and involved a 13-year-old girl.
Milazzo was issued a $50,000 bond and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
