A Manhattan man’s trial scheduled to begin Monday was canceled after he entered a plea deal with state prosecutors for reduced charges.
Thomas Tyrone Epting, 48, of Manhattan pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated battery and sexual battery in Riley County District Court Thursday. He now looks to a sentencing on Dec. 7.
Epting’s convictions were a sizable reduction from his original charges.
