Officers filed a report for theft of property or services at approximately 6:27 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. A 54-year-old female was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect used her personal information to make fraudulent purchases at various local businesses and online. Jayden Jarquese Tucker, 17, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2:09 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated battery. Tucker was issued no bond and is confined at a juvenile center.
Officers filed a report for three counts of battery of on a law enforcement officer, and one count each for assault on a law enforcement officer, battery, domestic battery, interference with a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection order at approximately 1:42 a.m. on Oct. 4 in the 300 block of Poyntz Avenue. Listed victims included a 36-year-old female, a 38-year-old female, a 35-year-old female, a 26-year-old female and a 22-year-old male. A 34-year-old male was listed as the suspect when it was reported he was involved in a fight. Brandon Lee Gibson, 34, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2 a.m. on Oct. 4 for three counts of battery of on a law enforcement officer, and one count each for assault on a law enforcement officer, battery, domestic battery, interference with a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection order. Gibson was issued a total bond of $27,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Seth Child Road. A 62-year-old female was listed as the suspect. Sheri Lynn Fleener, 62, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 10:05 p.m. for possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and use /possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body. Fleener was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Giovani Gavaska Green, 26, of Jamaica (NY), was arrested at approximately 5:03 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road for rape, aggravated sexual battery and three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior. This arrest stems from a report originally filed in August 2025 by a 20-year-old female victim, who knows the suspect. Green was issued a total bond of $100,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report. Due to the nature of these crimes, no further information will be released.

Officers filed a report for two counts of violating the offender registration act and one count of perjury at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 28 in 100 block of Manhattan Tow Center. A 46-year-old male was listed as the suspect. James Clifton Toliver, 46, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Oct. 2 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road for two counts of violating the offender registration act and one count perjury. Toliver was issued a total bond of $8,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Officers filed a report of criminal deprivation of property and two counts of probation violation at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 2 in Manhattan. A 44-year-old female was listed as the victim and a 29-year-old male, known to the victim, was listed as the suspect. Keyante Naquan Marvel White, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:06 a.m. for one count of criminal deprivation of property and two counts of probation violation. White was issued a total bond of $8,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 7:43 a.m. on Oct. 2 at Anderson Avenue and Seth Child Road. Upon arrival, officers found a 2010 Honda Element, driven by Spencer Lawson, 42, of Manhattan, had struck a pedestrian, Cheryl Caldwall, 68, of Manhattan, while she was using the crosswalk within the on-ramp. Caldwell was transported to KU Med in Kansas City for serious injuries. This accident remains under investigation.
