Officers filed a report for aggravated battery at approximately 5:26 p.m. on Oct. 8, 2026 in the 2900 block of Tatarrax Drive. A 71-year-old male was listed as the victim. A 78-year-old male, known to the victim, was listed as the suspect when it was reported he hit the victim’s arm with his truck while driving.
Officers filed a report for theft of property or services at approximately 4:24 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the 1800 block of Platt Street. A 21-year-old male was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect stole his steel blue 2012 Hyundai Sonata from a parking lot. The total estimated loss associated with this case is approximately $5,000. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for 11 counts of violating the offender registration act, six counts of perjury and three counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. Derrick Lee Milazzo, 48, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 3:22 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the 1000 block of Kearney Street on 11 counts of violating the offender registration act, six counts of perjury and three counts of aggravated violation of the offender registration act. Milazzo was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Jamie Lee Ray, 32, of Junction City, was arrested at approximately 2:29 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of criminal damage to property and domestic battery. Ray was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
Cedric DeSean Swinson, 19, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 12:03 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the 3500 block of Rocky Ford Avenue on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. These warrants stem from original charges of disorderly conduct and diversion violations. Swinson was also arrested on two battery counts, and one count of disorderly conduct stemming from a report originally filed in May 2026. During the course of the arrest, officers also filed a report and arrested Swinson for interference with a law enforcement officer; obstruct/resist/oppose misdemeanor warrant service or execution and interference with a law enforcement officer; knowingly flee by means other than a motor vehicle for misdemeanor case. Swinson was issued a total bond of $24,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
