Former Greensburg police chief arrested on child sex crime allegations

By KMAN Staff on November 4, 2026 State News

A former Greensburg police chief was arrested Tuesday on multiple allegations of child sex crimes stemming from an investigation that began in January 2025.

According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Aaron J. Webb, 33, of Bel Aire, was arrested just before 7 p.m. at his residence on two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and two counts of battery.

The charges allege Webb sexually abused a child between September 2022 and May 2023, while he was serving as Greensburg police chief. Webb resigned from the position in November 2023.

The KBI began investigating in January 2025 at the request of the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office.

Webb was booked into the Ford County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

The investigation remains ongoing, with the Kansas Attorney General’s Office expected to prosecute the case.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME or submit an anonymous tip at kbi.ks.gov/sar.
