The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fire of a stolen truck that was found in rural Manhattan on Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene at the 5400 block of Blue River Road in rural Manhattan just after 4:10 am on Thursday morning to discover a Ford F150 truck on fire. A records check of the vehicle found it to be a stolen vehicle that was stolen in the early hours Thursday from Walker and Flush Road in St. George. The USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden School Board reviewed the annual fall enrollment report Wednesday. Assistant Superintendent Nathan Downs says the district has seen an increase in students from the previous school year. The school district has seen about a 0.7% increase in students from last school year. The Alzheimer’s Association held its seventh annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Saturday in Manhattan. Over 300 participants were on hand, including members of the K-State Baseball team and the Sigma Kappa-Theta Tau sorority. MollyPatt Eyestone says that the fundraising walk is the highest per capita walk in the state of Kansas. Eyestone says the foundation has raised over $67,000 and were looking to get at least $100,000 in donations.
