Brents came to K-State as a transfer from Iowa, where he spent the first two seasons of his collegiate career playing for the Hawkeyes. After minimal reps in Iowa City, Brents hit the portal and landed in Manhattan where he went on to get Big 12 honors in both seasons. After accruing nearly 50 tackles with one interception in his first season at K-State, Brents returned for his senior season to improve on his first season in…

Anudike-Uzomah was selected in a draft that took place in his hometown of Kansas City, where he played at Lee’s Summit High School and signed to play at K-State after. Anudike-Uzomah was an unheralded recruit coming out of high school, he was just a two-star defensive end prospect. It came with one twist, the K-State star ended his announcement by stating he will be “maintaining [his] college eligibility.” Johnson transferred to K-State from Florida for the 2022-2023 season, where he averaged 17.4 points per game and 6.8 rebounds, both leading K-State during the regular season. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Kansas’ governor vetoed legislation Wednesday that would require clinics to tell patients that a medication abortion can be stopped using an unproven drug regimen. Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly’s action pushed back state GOP efforts to restrict abortion despite a decisive statewide vote affirming abortion rights in August 2022. It was the second time within a week that she vetoed an anti-abortion bill approved by the Legislature, which has Republican supermajorities and conservative leaders. “Kansans made clear that they believe personal healthcare decisions should be made between a woman and her doctor, not politicians in Topeka,” Kelly…

FIRST 2024 COMMIT IN HOOPS IS EXPECTED ON TODAY Most know by now, but most who cover and follow recruiting (including myself) are projecting David Castillo to commit to Jerome Tang and his staff on Tuesday at 3:00 PM when he announces his decision at Bartlesville High School. Castillo is a monster get for the Wildcats as he checks a few boxes. Number one, he starts off the 2024 class with a bang, which is trying to better last season’s 23rd-ranked class nationally. Number two, he is the highest-rated recruit that K-State has…

by Alec Busse • EMAWOnline – Lead Reporter – @Alec_Busse MANHATTAN, Kan. —  Deuce Vaughn’s cleats dug into the plastic turf inside of Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Friday as his head tilted back and his eyes tracked the football flying through the air. A strong gust of wind darts the ball to his left before he tracks down the punt, giving it home safely in his arms before returning to the original spot to catch another punt. Friday’s pro day at K-State offered Vaughn a second opportunity to perform before scouts from all 32 NFL organizations. The two-time All-American running back…
