by Kevin Fielder • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheKevinFielder Kansas State’s defensive line got a little bigger on Tuesday. About 297 pounds bigger. Junior college defensive tackle Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder announced his commitment to Kansas State. The announcement comes a few weeks after Alcorn-Crowder earned the offer from the Wildcats. Alcorn-Crowder held 18 offers during the process, including multiple heavy hitters. Miami (Fla.) offered him earlier in the process, and Florida most recently offered him. The Florida offer prompted an official visit from Alcorn-Crowder. Fellow Big 12 program Cincinnati was also believed to be a player in Alcorn-Crowder’s recruitment. But in the end, it’s…

by Kevin Fielder • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheKevinFielder As the Early Signing Period nears, Kansas State isn’t adding high school prospects to their roster. Instead, it’s the transfer portal that is seeing the action. A day after adding defensive end Travis Bates, Ball State defensive back Jordan Riley announced his intentions to transfer to Kansas State. A multi-year starter for Ball State, Riley transfers to Kansas State after starting all 12 games for the Cardinals, playing 699 snaps over the season. Riley totaled 61 total tackles, including three for a loss, eight pass deflections, and a recovered fumble. Heading into the season, Riley’s expectations…

by Kevin Fielder • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheKevinFielder Kansas State’s regular season ended heartbreakingly when Iowa State captured back the Farmageddon crown in a snow-filled game on Saturday. After finishing the season with eight wins, Kansas State has earned the right to play in a bowl game. Although the bowl games will be announced after the conference championship games on Sunday, Dec. 3, we already have a good pulse…

by Kevin Fielder • EMAWOnline – Managing Editor – @TheKevinFielder What seemed to be coming for a while has finally happened. On Monday afternoon, 2024 two-star wide receiver Jacques Spradley-Demps flipped his commitment from North Texas to Kansas State. Like Callen Barta and Boone Morris, who committed in the past weeks, Spradley-Demps had visited Kansas State during their win over TCU and came away impressed. It was expected that Spradley-Demps would wait until closer to December’s Early Signing Period, but instead, chose not to wait. Spradley-Demps had remained committed to North Texas since June, but recent interest from Power 5 schools, like Kansas State, and some…
