WEST GLACIER, Mont. (AP) — A 28-year-old woman from Kansas has died after falling into a creek in Glacier National Park and being swept into a gorge, park officials said. The woman fell from a rocky overhang into Avalanche Creek on Monday afternoon, spokesperson Gina Kerzman said. Bystanders waded into the creek and pulled the woman out. They performed CPR and called 911. Emergency responders declared her dead at the scene, park officials said. Her name and hometown have not been released.

Former Manhattan High School Principal Greg Hoyt has filed for a seat on the Manhattan-Ogden School Board. Hoyt retired as principal in 2019, after six years at MHS and 31 years total working in the district, both as a teacher and as principal also at Eisenhower Middle School. Wamego boys golf is your 4A State Champions! In Winfield, the Red Raiders rallied from a 7-shot first-day deficit to win by two strokes over Independence and three over Bishop Miege. Wamego shot a 639 for the two-day tournament. Individually, juniors Talon White, Cash Foltz and Spencer Hecht finished in 7th, 8th and tied for 10th respectively. A Junction City man was jailed early Tuesday morning on a Riley County District Court warrant alleging two counts of forgery and a single count of theft. The Riley County Police Department says 30-year-old Joseph Eustice is accused in a Jan. 12 report of fraudulently charging Appletech Design and Construction for gas worth approximately $1,000. Eustice was released from jail after posting a $13,000 bond.

RCPD says a 63-year-old man reported a 29-year-old man took the watches while helping move items into a moving truck. The estimated total loss is about $5,200. — Authorities are also investigating an incident of apparent vandalism at Blue Earth Plaza, reported Monday morning.
