Families with children of all ages can see fossils and explore how dinosaur nesting habits may have looked like. “This exhibit has a lot of hands-on elements where you can actually touch some of the dinosaur egg replicas, a real dinosaur leg bone, and some really unique stories that go along with how we learn about dinosaur babies and eggs,” said Amber Myers, education supervisor at the Discovery Center. By Emma Loura Manhattan-Ogden school district officials said they are close to a cost-sharing agreement with the Riley County Police Department for school resource officers. At last week’s school board meeting, assistant superintendent Nathan Downs said after multiple meetings and negotiations, the RCPD is offering the district a more affordable price for officers, though he said he didn’t yet have specific numbers to share. A Florida man was killed early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash along U.S. Highway 77 in Geary County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:13 a.m. on May 25 near mile marker 157.9, close to the intersection of U.S. 77 and Old Milford Road. Authorities say a 2020 Ford Fusion was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when it veered into the east ditch, continued moving forward, and struck a tree. Donald Ince, 46, was taken into custody around 11:20 a.m. on May 23 in the 700 block of N. 11th Street.
