A Fort Riley man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after four young children were reportedly left unattended in a hot vehicle in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department. Officers filed a report at approximately 11:26 a.m. May 27 in the 100 block of Bluemont Avenue for four counts of aggravated endangering of a child. Listed victims included a 4-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, a 2-year-old girl and an 11-month-old boy. Fort Riley’s 5th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division underwent a formal transition of leadership Tuesday. Lt. Col. Gary Klein relinquished command to Lt. Col. Michael Culler II. Brigade officials awarded Klein the Meritorious Service Medal in recognition of his leadership and service.
