A Manhattan man was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly entering a woman’s home without permission and being found in possession of illegal substances. According to the Riley County Police Department, officers responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Farm Bureau Road at approximately 2:35 a.m. on April 16. A 22-year-old woman reported that a 22-year-old man, identified as Oscar Burgos-Floriana, entered her home uninvited. Police say Burgos-Floriana was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. By Cale Prater The Westmoreland City Council took a much-anticipated step towards the construction of a new community pool at their April 10 regular meeting, passing a motion made by Ashley Rice to accept a bid put forth by Water’s Edge and Carrothers Construction Company that came in at just over $1.4 million. The resignation came as part of the personnel report handled with routine multiple consent agenda items at the regular board meeting and not acted upon separately.
