Officers filed a report of an injury accident at the corner of Wilderness Trail and Cimarron Trail in Ogden on May 22, 2024, at approximately 11:30 PM.  Merlin Sharp, 71, of Manhattan, was transported to Via Christi medical center via EMS for non life-threatening injuries after he swerved to miss a deer and struck a fire hydrant. Riley County Police are investigating after someone reportedly stole a vehicle from a car dealership this week. Officers filed a report Tuesday morning for motor vehicle theft at Briggs Auto after a 2016 Chevy Silverado and a separate Kansas temporary tag were stolen from the lot. The total estimated loss is over $20,000. No arrests were noted Wednesday. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.

K-State Athletics – The eyes of the nation will be on Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Friday, September 13, as FOX Sports has announced that Kansas State’s non-conference matchup with Arizona will kick off at 7 p.m. as the inaugural game of the new FOX College Football Friday television package.
