Boys State of Kansas has a new executive director. Boys State officials announced Monday that Kyle Wheatley has taken over as the executive director of the summer leadership program held annually at K-State. Wheatley began his term July 1 and replaced Tom Weirman, who held the position for four years. Sponsored by the American legion, Boys State is a mock government program allowing high school boys to practice leadership.
