(AP) — Four law enforcement officers were shot Saturday morning while responding to a domestic violence call at a home in a rural area south of Topeka, and a 22-year-old male suspect died of gunshot wounds at the scene. After four years of planning and over three months of renovations, the center at 310 Poyntz Ave. re-opened on Thursday in time for its fundraising season. “It needed to be revamped,” said Karla Johnson, the outreach coordinator at 360 Life Center. “The thrift store was closed a number of years ago and the dressing rooms were taken out.
