Thomas Gipson scored 14 points and Nino Williams added 11 but it was not enough for Kansas State to overcome Oklahoma State as the Cowboys defeated the Wildcats 61-47 Saturday afternoon at Gallagher-Iba Arena in Stillwater. K-State led 29-27 at halftime but was held to 18 second half points as the Cowboys continued their dominance over K-State in Stillwater. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) An expected rebound in the small- and medium-sized business jet market this year could be good news for Wichita, where the aircraft is built. The Wichita Eagle reports that experts say signs like increasing consumer confidence and low oil prices point to probable growth in the small to mid-size business jet industry in 2015. Bombardier Learjet and Textron Aviation, which includes Cessna Aircraft and Beechcraft Corporation manufacture business aircraft in Wichita.

Manhattan Fire Department crews responded to 728 Galaxy Drive for a report of a structure fire around 11:30 Friday evening. Upon arrival, crews found a one-story residential structure with heavy fire showing throughout the structure.  Crews were called to this same address one day earlier for a fire that heavily damaged the structure as well. Due to the damage caused by the previous night’s fire, crews were not able to make entry into the structure, but were able to control the fire from a defensive position outside the structure. Update at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday: A press release was issued on Saturday morning with additional information. Emergency personnel were made aware of a male subject, later identified as James Michael Tolsdorf (19), of Manhattan, who had possibly fallen through the ice. Bystanders collecting firewood in the area attempted to rescue Tolsdorf before emergency rescue teams could arrive. These attempts were unsuccessful. Tolsdorf was recovered at approximately 7:24 PM and pronounced deceased. An autopsy has been requested.
