Riley County Police have released names of those involved in a shooting KMAN first told you about early Sunday morning. The shooting was reported at 1:20 a.m. in the 600 block of North 12th Street. Mark Self Jr., 31, of Manhattan, Kansas was arrested after the deployment of an electronic control device, otherwise known as a TASER, while in the 1100 block of Laramie Street following a short foot pursuit. K-State announced Monday that ground has been broken on new practice and game fields for K-State women’s soccer. The first phase of the project will cost $2.1 million and will be completely funded by department-generated revenue. The fields will be on the former site of football practice fields just south of Tointon Family Stadium. Two grass fields with a Bermuda surface plus new irrigation and drainage system will be put in and the first phase is expected to be completed by July. As earlier reported by KMAN, Riley County Police arrested Nicholas Boyer, 20, of Manhattan on several drug offenses to include possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia at felony and misdemeanor levels, and no Kansas drug tax stamp.
