The Kansas City Star reports Ashley Patton of Olathe, Kansas, sued the owner of 96.5 The Buzz after a DJ identified her on an April 2012 morning show as a porn star. A weeklong federal trial ended Friday with jurors awarding Patton $250,000 in actual damages and $750,000 in punitive damages. Kansas State University continues to set records in enrollment and the diversity of its student body. Fall 2014 enrollment is the university’s largest ever at 24,766 students, up from 24,581 students a year ago. Authorities have given a report of an overnight fire in Ogden that occurred on Thursday night. According to the report the fire took place on the 200 block of 12th street. The fire spread from the garage to the home, and estimated losses total around $100,000. Emergency personnel first received a report of the fire at 9:30 pm.
