A makeup date has not been announced. K-State (11-12, 0-3 Big 12) will now play its next game on Friday, March 27, opening a three-game series at No. 12 Oklahoma State in Stillwater. First pitch for the series opener is set for 7 p.m.

A jury trial that was supposed to be held early next month will no longer take place, as a plea agreement regarding the case was presented in Riley County District Court Wednesday morning. Kaywaun Washington faces charges stemming from an October of 2014 incident, where he reportedly held two women at gunpoint. He appeared in court alongside his attorney, Britian Stites. Stites informed Chief Judge, Meryl Wilson a plea agreement had been reached. Washington pled no contest to two counts of kidnapping, as the other charges were dismissed during the motion’s hearing. Authorities in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin say a state trooper was shot and killed in an exchange of gunfire with a person who matched the description of a bank robbery suspect. Police said the suspect also was killed.

The Manhattan City commission adopted the Manhattan Urban Area Comprehensive Plan (MUACP) with a unanimous vote on Tuesday night in city hall. The MUACP lays out several areas for development of future housing, and other infrastructure strategies, to handle the projected growth of the city. One of the areas which is deemed as a “green zone” for development is the nearby Blue Township development. Other topics covered by the MUACP included a need for more affordable housing for the workforce, more downtown revitalization, and redevelopment of the central core district. Marcus Foster and Tre Harris have been dismissed from the K-State basketball program, and Jevon Thomas will transfer closer to home. K-State sent out a press release with the information late Tuesday night. “Marcus and Tre have been unable to live up to the standards that we expect of our players,” said head coach Bruce Weber in the release. “It is a privilege to represent Kansas State University and there are consequences when players don’t live up to those expectations.
