Former fugitive David Sweat is hospitalized in critical condition after he was caught in upstate New York, near the Canadian border. Sweat was captured on the property of an Amish dairy farmer who heard the gunshots.

On Sunday afternoon Topeka’s Oakland Church of the Nazarene was on lockdown after someone had threatened to bring a gun to the church. Police arrived to the church at 939 Northeast Oakland at 1 p.m. after hearing reports of a possible threat to the facility, but the lockdown ended shortly after 2:15 p.m. after officers concluded there was no threat. During the lockdown, occupants of the church were relocated to the basement. No suspects were taken into custody, but the investigation is ongoing
