MANHATTAN, KAN. — Officers filed a report of theft at approximately 6:02 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2025 in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road. An 18-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported his iPhone 16 was stolen somewhere in Aggieville on Nov. 6. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $1,200. The Riley County Police Department reported a single arrest early Sunday morning, November 9, 2025. According to the arrest report, 21-year-old Jone Maiwiriwiri Kauvesi of Fort Riley was taken into custody by the Kansas Highway Patrol around 1:32 a.m. on probable cause for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Authorities noted competent evidence of a blood or breath alcohol concentration of .08 or higher. Kauvesi was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt as required by Kansas law. His bond was set at $1,500, and he was confined at the Riley County Jail following his arrest.

After missing the majority of the season with an ankle injury sustained in K-State’s season-opening loss to Iowa State in Dublin, Edwards will be redshirting this season and finding a new home for his final two years of collegiate football.
