Junction City Police responded to a call in the early hours of Saturday morning. Around 2:25 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the intersection of 6th and Jackson, in Junction City, in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found four victims suffering from stab wounds. Two of the victims appeared to have suffered serious, possible life threatening wounds, and the two others suffered minor injuries. Police took a man into custody at the scene and questioned him at the Police Department. Late Friday evening, KMAN received news that a judge declared a mistrial in the case of Levertis Horne. The jury deliberated for seven hours, but couldn’t agree on a verdict. Horne is facing two counts of aggravated robbery charges, two counts of attempted aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and aggravated battery. TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) A northwest Kansas resident has come forward to claim a $1 million cash prize in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. The Kansas Lottery said Friday the person lives in Hays but has chosen to remain anonymous, as allowed by state law. The winning ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball in Wednesday’s drawing, which had a $425 million jackpot. Lottery officials say the million-dollar Kansas ticket was sold at Cerv’s 2, a convenience store in Hays.
