Konza Rotary Club’s 3rd Annual Water Matters Day capped off with a $4,000.00 donation to both the City of Enterprise, Kansas, and the AIM Mission, which focuses its efforts in Ghana. Rotary Club President Rich Jankovich says the all-day event, which began with a symposium at the Manhattan Public Library and continued with an afternoon at the City Park Pool, is part of the club’s mission to promote clean water projects internationally. Man’s best friend got its turn to take a dip at the 9th Annual Pet Poolooza, sponsored by the Petco Foundation. Although there is no official count of the number of paws to cross CiCo Pool’s threshold, the many Manhattan residents and pooches who attended the event were asked to make a donation to the T. The police said they took a report of a rape early Sunday morning that occurred in the city limits of Manhattan. It is unknown at this time whether the victim or suspect knew each other.
