Officers filed a report for aggravated battery and battery in the 2100 block of Poyntz Ave. in Manhattan on February 14, 2024, around 11:23 AM. A 14-year-old male and a 36-year old female were listed as the victims when it was reported a 15 year-old male engaged in an altercation with the 14-year-old. Manhattan city commissioners heard a progress report on the Beyond Tomorrow Downtown Plan at Tuesday’s work session. Senior Planner Ben Chmiel, with Manhattan’s Community Development Department, presented several different models, showing potential changes for downtown based on future growth and public feedback.
