KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP)   Matt Kenseth won for the second time in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship in a caution-marred race at repaved Kansas Speedway. The fast new surface and a hard tire contributed to Sunday’s race-record 14 cautions, a season high for the Sprint Cup Series. Quarterback Collin Klein already mentioned as a strong candidate for the Heisman Trophy turned in a Heisman-like performance Saturday night as K-State met up with new Big 12 member West Virginia. A Manhattan man was transported to Mercy Regional Health Center with unknown injuries following an accident late Friday night.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol 62-year old Jesse Wilhoite Jr. of Manhattan was traveling westbound in the 5500 block of Mc Dowell Creek road approximately a mile and a half north of I-70 when he swerved to avoid two deer in the roadway.  Wilhoite’s 2006 Hyundai Elantra left the roadway and went into a ditch and jumped a field entrance before returning to the highway.
