OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) — A suburban Kansas City police officer who shot and killed a 17-year-old four years ago will not face civil rights charges, federal prosecutors announced Friday. John Albers was shot by officer Clayton Jenison after he backed a minivan out of his family’s garage in Overland Park, Kansas, in January 2018. The Riley County Health Department will provide free in-person COVID tests starting Monday. According to a news release from RCHD, testing will be available by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled as early as five days out or as late as two hours before the selected timeslot.
