On May 8, 2025, at approximately 6:21 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Fort Riley Blvd. A 36-year-old male was reported as driving a motor vehicle with an expired registration and a suspended driver’s license.  A subsequence search of the vehicle was conducted, leading to the discovery of a distributable amount of methamphetamine. Michael Nash, 46, of Manhattan, KS, was arrested on May 7, 2025, at approximately 10:01 p.m. in the 2500 block of Candle Crest Circle on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. The warrant stems from the original charges of four counts of Aggravated Kansas Offender Registration Act violations and ten counts of Kansas Offender Registration Act violations. For the first time in program history, the Kansas State women’s golf team has advanced to the NCAA Championship as the Wildcats tied for second place, while senior Carla Bernat was the individual medalist of the 2025 NCAA Lexington, Kentucky Regional after final-round play on Wednesday at the par-72, 6,095-yard Keene Trace Golf Club. A Manhattan woman was arrested Tuesday, after allegedly firing a handgun during a road rage incident. 59-year-old Tracey Meredith is charged with aggravated assault after Riley County Police Officers filed a report near the intersection of 68th Ave. and Deer Trail Road, west of the Manhattan Regional Airport. An unidentified 61-year-old man was listed as the victim. No injuries were reported. Meredith was released from jail after posting a $5000 bond. Click here for more local news.
