K-State’s Ava LeGrand and Shaylee Myers each recorded a double-double Wednesday night as the Wildcats returned to the win column with a three-set sweep of Houston at the Fertitta Center, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20. K-State (16-8, 9-7 Big 12) hit at a .257 clip (45 kills, 16 errors) on its way to picking up its first win over Houston since August 28, 2007, and first as Big 12 opponents. Mill Valley announced this week that it will play a home-and-home football series with Manhattan High in 2026 and 2027, creating one of the most anticipated non-league matchups of the upcoming cycle. On Wednesday, the Kansas Board of Regents approved a 20-year lease agreement between K-State Salina and the media company Pure Imagination Labs. Pure Imagination intends to lease space inside the new Kansas Artificial Intelligence Research and Entertainment Studio, or K-AIRES building, on the Salina campus. The lease will begin when the building opens in September 2026 and will end in August 2046. Pure Imaginations will provide educational programs. The combined value of the percentage rent based on gross revenue and the in-kind educational services provided by Pure Imagination will be $250,000 a year. A panel of general officers found an Army colonel guilty of sexually abusing three adolescents he knew during his court-martial Nov. 6 at the Fort Leavenworth Courtroom. Some of the earliest abuse occurred at Fort Riley. Col. Scott C. Nauman, 53, an infantry officer assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, Combined Arms Command, was sentenced by the military judge to 28 years in prison and dismissal from the Army.
