A Junction City woman was arrested over the weekend following a report of theft at the Target store in Manhattan. According to the Monday arrest report, Riley County Police Department officers filed the report around 11:21 am Sunday after a known female suspect took multiple items from the retailer. 29-year-old Shelby Keogh was arrested in connection on probable cause of theft. Keogh was issued a total bond of $2,000 and was no longer confined at the time of the report’s release. The estimated total loss was approximately $1,223. The items were later recovered.

A Manhattan man was arrested Thursday morning on a Riley County District Court warrant for rape. The Riley County Police Department noted in Friday’s arrest report that 64-year-old Clark Peterson was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on one count of sexual intercourse without consent and use of force. The warrant stems from a July 2022 incident involving a 49-year-old woman known to Peterson. Peterson was issued a total bond of $50,000 and was no longer confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report’s release. Due to the nature of this crime, no further information will be released.

Officers filed a report for burglary in the 4900 block of Eureka Dr. in Manhattan on June 29, 2023, around 5:00 p.m. A 59-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported his shed was broken into and an air conditioner unit, Milwaukee power tools, and miscellaneous hand tools were stolen from inside.
