Jayme Morris-Hardeman on Monday told Mike Matson on 1350 KMAN’s “Within Reason with Mike Matson” she plans to run for re-election next year. “Education is something that I’m passionate about,” Morris-Hardeman said. “I had an interest from my perspective of having spent all these years at CASA and at Thrive working with families in poverty, families that experienced trauma, and I wanted to be sure that those students were receiving what they needed. But I also just feel passionately about teachers.”

The program is designed to award members for implementing certain risk mitigating measures in the workplace. By meeting the requirements of the award program, the county improved safety in the workplace and put money back in its pocket. By Emma Loura/Manhattan Mercury Riley County commissioners on Monday voted to devote more than $20,000 to switching the software used for organizing meeting minutes and documents. The new software the county will switch to in March comes from Civic Plus. The county currently uses MinuteTrag, a product from IQM2/Granicus, but the company decided to discontinue the software after it was bought out. Officers listed Habitat for Humanity as the victim when it was reported the lock on a storage trailer was broken and tools were stolen from the trailer. (K-State Athletics) – Colleen Corbin, the 2022 Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year who spent the 2024 season as the associate head coach at Saint Louis, was announced Monday as the K-State women’s soccer head coach by K-State Director of Athletics Gene Taylor. Former Kansas City Detective Roger Golubski died Monday following a warrant being issued for his arrest after failing to show up for trial. Law enforcement set up a crime scene outside Golubski’s home on Monday morning, and Federal prosecutors said that Golubski died after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest. Prosecutors did not say how or when he died. He was charged with six felony counts of violating women’s civil rights. Riley County Police responded to an injury accident on the morning of November 30, 2024, at the intersection of Leavenworth Street and N. Juliette Avenue. According to the report, a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by 21-year-old John Mayes collided head-on with a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan operated by 47-year-old Marco Galeano-Casco. Galeano-Casco sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Via Christi Hospital by EMS for treatment. Police cited Galeano-Casco for driving without a license and failing to provide proof of insurance.
