Kansas State started the 23rd season of Big 12 Conference action on Wednesday night at (25/rv) Iowa State. The Cyclones defended Hilton Coliseum with a 96-58 win. K-State has now lost seven straight Big 12 openers. K-State was led by guards Kayla Goth and Jasauen Beard. Goth registered her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 assists. From K-State Sports Senior Kamau Stokes scored a game-high 20 points en route to becoming the 30th Wildcat in school history to score 1,000 career points, as K-State fought off a furious George Mason comeback attempt to win 59-58 at Bramlage Coliseum on Saturday.
