Campbell Trophy, Kansas State senior right tackle Dalton Risner added another line to his off-the-field resume on Thursday by being named a semifinalist for the 2018 Wuerffel Trophy, the All Sports Association of Fort Walton Beach (FL) announced. Manhattan High’s Daniel Harkin finished as the 6A state runner up in cross country on Saturday in Lawrence. He finished with a time of 15 minutes and 55 seconds. Harkin’s decorated career includes placing at state in track and tennis in addition to cross country. He was a part of last year’s MHS state championship in track and finished in the top ten in state in both the 1600 meters and 3200 meters. The Big 12 Conference and FOX Sports announced Monday that the Dillons Sunflower Showdown between Kansas State and Kansas in Manhattan on November 10, will kick off at 11 a.m., and televised on FSN. From K-State Athletics Kansas State student-athlete Samantha Scott, a member of the Wildcat rowing team, passed away from a sudden illness on Saturday. Scott, 23, was a four-year member of the rowing team and the squad’s top coxswain this season.
