From K-State Sports The Big 12 Conference and FOX Sports announced Monday that Kansas State’s October 27 contest at Oklahoma will kick off at 2:30 p.m., and be televised nationally by FOX. It will be the third-straight time in Norman that K-State and Oklahoma will play a day game. From K-State Sports Thanks to their impressive performances in Kansas State’s 31-12 victory over Oklahoma State last Saturday, junior running back Alex Barnes and senior defensive back Duke Shelley have been named Big 12 Players of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. In addition to his co-Defensive Player of the Week accolade, Shelley was also named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll. From K-State Athletics Legendary Kansas State men’s basketball coach Fred “Tex” Winter passed away on Wednesday (October 10) at the age of 96 in Manhattan, Kansas. Memorial services are pending. (AP) The Chiefs are making an unexpected return to prime time. The NFL moved The Chiefs’ home game on Sunday, Oct. 21 against the Bengals to the “Sunday Night Football” slot. It will replace the originally scheduled SNF game between the Los Angeles Rams and struggling San Francisco 49ers. Kansas City now has a sixth prime time game.
