The Royals locked up home field advantage for their 3rd straight trip to the World Series. The American League beat the National League 4-2 at the 87th All-Star game at Petco Park in San Diego last night. Both Eric Hosmer and Salvador Perez, who started for the AL, hit home runs off of former Royal and NL starter Johnny Cueto in the 2nd inning. Cueto is now with the San Francisco Giants. From kstatesports.com After two weeks of Olympic Qualifiers around the world, the Kansas State track and field team will send seven current and former athletes to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games. In all, seven different countries will be represented by K-State athletes. The Wildcats will be sending the second-most representatives of any Big 12 school to Rio to compete in the Olympics.
