From KSHSAA Brian Ebert, the girl’s basketball coach at Frankfort High School, has been named the National Coach of the Year by the NFHS Coaches Association. Ebert becomes the 40th Kansan to earn the honor at the national level. The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has also announced 12 other Kansas coaches to Section 5 award winners. These efforts recognize the outstanding accomplishments during the 2023-24 school year. Recognizing Coach Ebert for his team’s performance for the 2023-2024 season. Kansas State football landed transfer Jayshawn Ross from Alabama Tuesday afternoon. Ross, who was rated as a top 150 player out of the transfer portal, was listed as a linebacker at Alabama, but played predominately off the edge during his time in high school at Liberty North. According to 247Sports, Ross was the sixth best player out of Missouri in the 2023 class and a top 20 edge rusher nationally. Ross chose Alabama over K-State, Florida State, Penn State, Tennessee, and others. Ross picked up 15 sacks in 13 games during his senior year of high school, propping himself up…
