Kansas City (ESPN) – The Kansas City Chiefs and former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Nick Foles have agreed to terms on a contract, sources confirmed Wednesday night to ESPN. The deal will be for one year with a team option for a second season, a source said. Foles will reunite with Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who was head coach of the Eagles when Philadelphia made Foles a third-round draft pick in 2012. The Preseason All-Big 12 nod is the third of Brand’s career and fourth overall preseason honor from the conference as she was named the Preseason Co-Freshman of the Year in 2013. She is the second Wildcat ever to earn three Preseason All-Big 12 accolades (Kaitlynn Pelger,2011-13). ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) The Kansas City Royals say reliever Luke Hochevar had surgery Tuesday in St. Louis to relieve thoracic outlet syndrome. The procedure included a scalenectomy, which repairs a muscle in the front of the neck. Hochevar, a 32-year-old right-hander, is expected to need six months to recover. The Royals hope he will be ready for spring training. The first overall selection by the Royals in the 2006 draft, Hochevar missed all of 2014 after Tommy John surgery. Incoming K-State running back Mike McCoy from Topeka High was the star of Saturday’s Shrine Bowl in Emporia. The East beat the West 48-27. McCoy led the East with 89 on 13 carries and four rushing touchdowns. The four touchdowns ties a Shrine Bowl record. He received the East’s Most Valuable Player award.
