For the third time in program history and for the first time since 2021, Rock Creek baseball can call themselves state champions. The Mustangs got it done by winning two games Friday in a span of about nine hours. In the semifinals, the Mustangs beat Paola by a 10-5 final. To win the state title, they beat Pratt 7-3. 2024 was a historic year for Rock Creek baseball. Not only did they win a state title, the Mustangs’ 23 regular season wins set a new program record. Rock Creek win ends it season with a record of 28-1.

Just like Wamego boys golf earlier this week, Red Raider softball ran it back. Back-to-back years, Wamego has won the 4A state title in Salina. In today’s semifinals, Wamego beat Eudora 2-0.
