New Equipment
Ascension Via Christi recently finished installing a new piece of cardio equipment in time for February, which is American Heart Month.
The equipment will allow cardiologists and radiologists to diagnose and treat heart conditions more quickly.

That’s Ascension Via Christi President Bob Copple, who says an upcoming event will help the hospital pay for the equipment.

This event, known as the Mercy Crystal Gala, is put on by the Mercy Community Health Foundation and will take place on Feb. 29th at 6:30 p.m.

The total project cost is about $1.9 million.

Go Red for Women Luncheon
Local community members are partnering up with the American Heart Association to put on the Go Red for Women Luncheon.

Copple says the event will take place on March 20th at 10:30 a.m..

The purpose of this event is to make people more aware of heart conditions experienced by women.

Copple says while both men and women suffer from heart conditions, the warning signs for women aren’t always as obvious.
