A second round of COVID-19 testing of Geary County Corrections Staff came back with no positives.
Geary County Sheriff’s officials tested all correctional officers and inmates last week after multiple officers received positive tests.
Currently, they’ve reported three corrections officers have tested positive and two inmates have as well. Geary County has reported a total of 29 positive tests.
Riley County has seen no new positive cases since Monday. There are currently 9 active cases. 59 people have recovered, a total 71 positive tests have been reported. One person experiencing symptoms is awaiting test results and one remains ventilated at Ascension Via Christi Hospital.
