    Update: RCPD has suspect in Friday’s injury hit and run

    Riley County Police have determined a suspect in Friday’s hit and run accident involving a pedestrian.

    Police have not named the suspect as the investigation continues. RCPD officers were dispatched to the intersection of Hunting and Denison, on the west edge of the K-State campus Friday evening around 5:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found the pedestrian, 61-year-old Susan Keller of Manhattan had been struck by a small white 4-door car. Keller was transported to a Kansas City area hospital with serious injuries.

    Police ask anyone with information to contact RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crims Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    10 a.m. Saturday 

    Information is being sought after a motorist left the scene of an accident Friday near the western edge of the K-State campus.

    According to the Riley County Police Department, at around 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident near the intersection of Hunting and Denison. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and the vehicle, described as a small white 4-door car left the scene.

    Anyone with information is urged to contact RCPD at (785) 537-2112 or Crime Stoppers at (785) 539-7777. Using the Crime Stoppers service allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
