According to gauges on the National Weather Service website, Tuttle Creek Lake has reached 1135.48 feet above mean sea level as of 930 a.m. Increases have tapered off to about 0.02 feet per hour that KMAN has tracked in recent hours. Levels were at 1135.45 feet above mean sea level as of 830 a.m. That’s up from slightly from 1135.39 feet around 6 a.m. and 1135.21 feet at 10 p.m. yesterday.

The Kansas River saw a rise into minor flood stage since yesterday as well, but Collins says it seems to be cresting or nearing its crest. As of yesterday at noon levels were at 17.26 feet, at 10 p.m. yesterday it was at a level of 18.8 feet. As of 5 a.m. this morning, the river had reached 19.11 feet and has seen no significant increase since 4 a.m. 9:30’s numbers show the River at an elevation of 19.09 feet. If outflow increases at Tuttle Creek, those numbers will change.

At the time of this report, inflow into Tuttle Creek Lake is gauged at 30,000 cfs. Outflow is gauged at 25,000 cfs.

Tuttle’s target point for releases is at Waverly, Missouri. The gage there shows flows of 276,000 cfs, nearly 100,000 cfs higher than the threshold for release.

Down at Milford Lake Dam, waters are also rising. Levels yesterday evening showed the lake had reached 1170.5 feet. This morning Milford had reached 1170.8 feet. As of 930 a.m., it was at 1170.92 feet. The level where water would go out the spillway on the south end of the reservoir is 1176.25 ft.
