    Suspect in Sedgwick County attempted homicide arrested at Manhattan motel

    MANHATTAN — A Morris County man was arrested Monday morning at a Manhattan motel on a pair of warrants out of Sedgwick and Harvey counties.

    Riley County Police, in coordination with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and the Wichita Police Department responded to 200 Tuttle Creek Blvd, the Super 8 motel, just before 9 a.m. Officers arrested 25-year-old Jeffrey Vermont Porter of Wilsey on a $250,000 Sedgwick County warrant for attempted homicide and a no bond Harvey County warrant for probation violation. No additional details were immediately provided.

    KMAN has reached out to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office for further information about the attempted homicide case.
