An electrical fire was reported at Weber Hall on the Kansas State University Campus at 1:55 p.m. Friday. According to Batallion Chief Jim Blanck with the Manhattan Fire Department, reports that upon arrival firefighters found maintenance personnel had already extinguished the fire and the building had been evacuated.
Batallion Chief Blanck tells KMAN that electricians had been working at Weber Hall when the fire began. No injuries were reported and other than minor damage to the electrical panel from the fire, the building is reported to be structurally sound.
