Peyton Little scored 19 points and Kaylon Williams added 12 as Oklahoma defeated Kansas State 66-58 in Big 12 Women’s basketball action Saturday at Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
K-State trailed 27-25 at halftime and hung with Oklahoma before the Sooners were able to put the game away in the second half. Kindred Wesemann, coming off her huge performance earlier in the week against Texas, led the Wildcats with 21 points and Breanna Lewis added 11 for Kansas State which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.
Kansas State (14-8, 4-7) will next be in action at Bramlage Coliseum on Wednesday when they host TCU. It will be the first game for Jeff Mittie against the Horned Frogs whom he coached before taking the Kansas State job last spring. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
