The Riley County Police Department dispatch received a call Thursday morning about an individual injured at a logging job site located in the 1900 block of Collins Lane, just south of Manhattan.When police and EMS arrived on scene, they found a deceased male who had been struck by a falling tree. The male was later identified as David G. Teske, 47, of Onaga.
The Riley County Police Department, Manhattan Fire Department, Riley County EMS, and Riley County Rural Fire responded to the accident.

Riley County Police Sgt. Brad Ingalls confirmed a 911 call came into RCPD dispatchers at 10:18 a.m. regarding a medical call. Ingalls indicates the accident was on a job site in that location. Around 11:30 Thursday morning, Ingalls confirmed the accident was fatal.
