Rain Pushes Royals-Tigers Opener to Wednesday

The start of a three-game series for the Royals at Detroit was rained out on Tuesday night. The game was delayed at the start and was called off about 15 minutes later. A makeup date has not yet been set, and a doubleheader will not be played on either of the next two days. The pitching matchup remains the same for Wednesday night’s game, Wade Davis is on the hill for Kansas City against Max Scherzer of Detroit. The Royals still have a game and a half lead on the Tigers in the AL Central, and a one game edge over Minnesota.

First pitch at Comerica Park is at 6:05pm.
