1.

A Lawrence man was arrested on early Tuesday morning for battery, and criminal damage to property at tManhattan’s Best Value Inn.

 According to Riley County Police reports19-year-old Steven Schoemate was arrested after assaulting John Christie, a front desk clerk.  Police say during the altercation a window of the inn was broken valued over $1,000.

Schoemate was released on a $1,500 bond.

2.

A construction site on the northwest side of Manhattan was allegedly the location of a burglary.

Riley County Police say Donna Barry reported the theft which allegedly occurred somtime over the past weekend.  According to the report a door was forced open and over $1,100 in power tools were taken.

The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Police say unknown suspects have vandalized a row of road signs on a local street.

According to Riley County Police reports sometime Sunday night vandals knocked down several road signs on the 31-hundred block of Deep Creek Road.  Total estimated loss is over $1,000.

Police say the investigation is onging.

4.

According to Riley County Police reports released on Tuesday a Manhattan man was the victim of a burglary early Friday morning.

19-year-old Zachary Kurth told police that his $1,500 Macbook air was taken from his unlocked bedroom sometime around 02:40am on Friday.

Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
