K-State coach Bruce Weber landed the first top 100 commitment of his tenure on Wednesday night. Multiple media outlets including Rivals.com are reporting that four-star forward Malek Harris of Orland Park, Illinois has verbally committed to the Wildcats. The 6-foot-7 195 pound Harris is ranked #80 in the 2014 class, and reportedly won’t make his pledge official until Mother’s Day.

Malek Harris, a top 100 PF, just committed to Kansas State, according to a source.
Harris originally committed to Marquette, but reopened his recruitment earlier this month when head coach Buzz Williams left the school for Virginia Tech. Harris reportedly picked K-State in this round of his recruitment over the Hokies and Golden Eagles, plus Florida and Gonzaga.
