Clement was hired as K-State’s hitting coach in July of 2012 after spending three years on staff at Texas A&M. Before that, Clement coached at UTSA and has a reputation for great recruiting ties in the state of Texas. He helped lead the Wildcats to a Big 12 championship and super regional appearance in 2013 when K-State was second in the nation in batting average.
Clement would replace former Ole Miss hitting coach Cliff Goodwin who took the head coaching job at East Carolina after the Rebels made the College World Series this past season.
