Nebraska Man Dies In Wreck On U.S. 77


Riley County Police reported a serious one-vehicle accident at approximately 3:25 p.m. Friday on Highway 77 and Norlin Road or milepost 198.3 about three and a half miles north of Randolph in Northern Riley County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s Crash Report, 23-year old Colton Schoenrock of Fairbury, Nebraska was traveling Northbound on Highway 77 when his 2003 Mazda went off the road and into the west ditch where it struck a tree. The Highway Patrol reports the vehicle then vaulted over a driveway before landing on its passenger side.

Schoenrock was pronounced dead at the scene. It does not appear that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
