A case of shoplifting turns into much more for three Junction City teens.
Just after 8:00 Monday morning, Junction City Police Officers responded to three Juveniles in custody for shoplifting at Dollar General at 924 W. 6th St. During the preliminary investigation items from Westwood School were located on the juvenile’s persons. Officers responded to Westwood School, 1600 N. Eisenhower St. and discovered extensive damage through out the school. A preliminary estimate of the damage is believed to be in excess of $250,000.00.
Two 15 and one 16 year old were taken in to custody and charged with Burglary, Theft, Felony Damage to Property and Conspiracy.
